Welcome to the dead plant club. If you’re like me, you’ve probably been a member of this club long before it was official.
This is my journey toward navigating the mysterious world of plants. There is so much research out there about their benefits, and I want to figure out how to add more of them to my life. With much of my 20’s being focused on diet + exercise + sleep, I feel like there’s an area of wellness that I’m still missing. How much better would I feel if I interacted more with nature?
I work in an office and live in Cleveland, which makes it very easy to fall into the statistic that the average American spends 90% of their life inside. With knowing this, I feel like it’d be a good use of my time to both get outside more and bring nature in.
I’m an accountant at a plant nursery. My husband grows plants for a living. I still know nothing about plants, and I haven’t been able to find the right resource out there with basic plant info. I just want someone to tell me what to buy and what to do, and I’ll do it. And I want it to look good and be easy. Since I haven’t been able to find that, I wanted to share what I’ve found here.
I’m not an expert, but I’m into plants and wellness. My husband, however, is an expert and has more than a decade of experience as a horticulturalist. You can expect him to be my go-to resource 🙂
Here’s to saving our plants and (hopefully) graduating from the dead plant club.
